Overnight Shelter Location

In support of the invaluable efforts of a downtown
Seattle day center for homeless women and their children,
Ravenna UMC, St. Ignatius ECC, Dignity/Seattle,
along with other faith communities and individual volunteers,
are helping to meet the growing needs of Washington State's homeless in finding safe, temporary "overnight" shelter
as they strive to get back on their feet.

Each church, mosque, or temple is being asked to provide
shelter one week at a time per quarter of the year.

For more information and/or to volunteer, call 206.525.7988

A busy week ahead.

The guest families

suitable (and longer-term) accommodations are obtained.

Meals/snacks
-- prepared by many hard-working volunteers
from the nearby communities and faith organizations --

(including a light breakfast every morning, before they return to the downtown day center during the day, to make phone calls, to look for jobs and/or better accommodations) will be provided.

Two (well-screened, background-checked) volunteers
will always be on watch throughout the families' stay.
Everyone will leave the following Tuesday morning.
